In the above case, the printer was installed
automatically because the name of the default printer on the home PC matches
the name of a printer that is installed on the server. If you cannot print
right away you have several options:
-
Contact the help desk and
give them the exact name of your printer at home. You can get the exact name
by clicking on Start > Settings > Printers on your home PC and then noting
the name of your default printer. After you provide them with this
information, someone will be able to install your printer on the server and
you will be able to print.
-
You can also try printing
using the “Citrix PCL 4 Universal Driver” by clicking on the printer name
that has “Citrix PCL 4 Universal Driver” as its type and right-clicking it
and choosing Connect and then right-clicking it again and choose “Set as
Default”. You must close out of all applications and then get back in before
you can try printing. If you print and get garbage, this driver is not
compatible with your printer and you must go back to option 1.
-
You can also try to
right-click on your printer name then clicking “Connect” and then
right-clicking again and choosing “Set as Default”. The problem may be that
your printer is not connected to the server.
If you still cannot print after trying all of these options, please contact
the help desk at (954) 527-2499 and we will assist you.
